Private Concessions are wildlife sanctuaries in their natural state.
Some are ranches where cattle share their grazing with the resident wildlife, and others where the cattle may have been completely phased out to encourage the wildlife to return.

Group Ranches are the grazing land of the local indigeneous people that have been set aside to encourage wildlife and for tourism use.

Game drives & walks are made in these areas which are more exclusive than the busy national parks. The wildlife may be shyer than in the national parks, but the pleasure to be game watching in a more private environment compensates for the wary & timid animals.
